Playing around with a sketch of the Desert Room at the Rawlings Conservatory in Baltimore. A little bit of process as well, merging my sketch in photoshop (I like to use long sketchbooks), meticulously editing out the gutter, and cleaning up the values of different parts of the drawing. After adding color I like to clean up the palette a bit with another layer of color tinkering.

Almost every year of my life my dad’s side of the family has a reunion on Easter weekend in Galveston. This year was a nice respite from being so busy, and taking the time to just draw and enjoy drawing. Missing that breeze already.
