Our Ash Street Studios Indiegogo campaign has launched! My own studio Bone Black Letter Press resides within Ash St. Studios. Last winter everyone’s art practice suffered from the extreme drop in temperatures within the studio. Ash St. functions as an affordable option to emerging artists, and we hope to renovate the space fully so that it can continue to serve them for many years (even after we move on). Plenty of great perks are available for supporting, but if you can’t donate simply passing this link along is helpful, thank you!
Playing around with a sketch of the Desert Room at the Rawlings Conservatory in Baltimore. A little bit of process as well, merging my sketch in photoshop (I like to use long sketchbooks), meticulously editing out the gutter, and cleaning up the values of different parts of the drawing. After adding color I like to clean up the palette a bit with another layer of color tinkering.
*edited because I kept tinkering and well it happens*
Cool blog full of illustration and Jazz, glad to have my contribution be part of it!
Thanks for the mention Wendy! (I also love that you chose my creepy stuff)
